I recently gave birth to my first child at the end of March 2022 and decided to breastfeed. Breastfeeding is no joke and requires so much time, dedication, and effort to make it work. Between pumping, eating, and all the tiny details, I didn’t realize how much work would actually be dedicated to it.

I wasn’t seeing much of an increase in my milk supply, so my mom recommended a few different food items to help increase my milk supply. After some recipe research and best foods to eat while breastfeeding, I have dialed in a recipe for No Bake Lactation Cookies! I have seen my milk supply increase by approximately double since eating them. I started to notice an increase within the first two days and then a large increase after one weeks use of eating the delicious creations.

With the formula shortage in the USA, this made me a lot more motivated and hopeful to find a solution that will work for my baby and I.

Here is my recipe:

I have edited and made the recipe my own since finding it to best suit my needs and the supplies I had at the time. I know some people have food allergies, so I have added some alternative food options as substitutions.

Here are the links to the items I ordered so you can make your own No Bake Lactation Cookies. You can substitute for your favorite brands. These are just some of the more affordable priced products I’ve found.

If you use banana and apple sauce:
